    Benefits of cone yarn

    • Cost effectiveness: Cones often cost less than balls or skeins when buying in bulk, providing better value for large projects.
    • Reducing Knots and Interruptions: One long continuous strand without having the extra work of joining a new ball of yarn and sewing in multiple ends.
    • Versatility: Flexibility in making your own yarn weight:

(Always do a gauge swatch, wash and block before starting a new project. Cashmere does bloom after washing, allow some room for it's fluffiness.)

    • Easy Storage and Stability: Cones are stable and won't roll around while you work, and they are easy to stack and organize.

Tips on how to use Yarn Cones

    • Draw from the Top: Pull the yarn from the top of the cone rather than the side to ensure smooth feeding.
    • Use a Spinner: Place the cone on a lazy susan to allow it to rotate freely.
    • Washing After Knitting: Note that cone yarn may feel slightly stiffer, greasy, or compacted due to industrial processing, but this typically washes out after the project is finished. First, soak your finished garment for 15 minutes in warm water with regular detergent or dish soap, followed by a normal wash with wool detergent. To maximise the bloom, you can also soak it briefly with a conditioner. Gently press out excess water using a towel and lay flat to dry. Avoid wringing or tumble drying.
